Got a fantastic spot right beside the Dumaresq River for last night and tonight. Very close to where we have stayed before but better as there are only 3 other campers here. When we were here last time it was when Texas was having a Rodeo / Music Festival and it was very crowded. Hot today and in my bathers heading into the water for a sit down in knee deep water to cool off. Very refreshing. No fire at this camp as it is just too hot. Watching the bird life and a resident carp that is probably a foot long and keeps swimming past our camp. Also 2 lovely Yellow Kingfishers that must have a nest in the side of the bank as they keep flying down and out of sight at the edge of the bank and the water. I need to buy a bird book so I can name all the different birds that we see on our travels. Met a traveler camped next to us this morning named Kathy from Coffs Harbour. Traveling by herself with a large dog, permanently on the road in a little camper and has been here for 3 days. Not sure if I could do it, but she loves the life style after working in aged care for 25 years.
