Monday 12th Oct 2015 Bowling Alley Point

A nice relaxing day, first we went for a walk and managed to find enough wood to have a fire tonight.  Campers a fair way from us left this morning and left their wood so we walked over and collected it - too good. Then it was set the fire and go for a swim.  Beautiful in the water, nice and cool and no need for a shower tonight, win win. Sitting around the fire watching a storm in the distance - spectacular.  We are sitting in the sun and the clouds are black over the water near the mountains and dropping huge amounts of rain, then all of a sudden a second front headed up the lake and straight towards us, did a very hurried whip around to put things away and luckily we avoided any damage.  Unfortunately for people down by the water they had their awning shredded and their toilet tent was blown away. Luckily we had put our awning away as it was a little windy and we are leaving tomorrow but the storm was upon us very, very quickly. Unbelievable sunset with the remnant of our fire in front of it but not able to capture it on the camera.
