Off for a walk this morning up the 4WD track to the top of
the hill where we will run into the road that comes into Sofala Camp. This is also the only place I can get a
signal on my phone. There are BBQ’s and a toilet here but we are ½ km further
up the track all by ourselves. I have
the fire going and very pleasant. Plans
are for a camp oven roast for dinner tonight so need the coals in the
fire. Bill & Pat have arrived in
their camper trailer and seem very friendly, they are camped a little further
up the road towards the free camp but still seem close to us in comparison to
where everyone else is. They have picked a spot where there are no overhanging
branches and out in the sun so all good……..WOOPS spoke to soon, very, very
friendly and have arrived with a wine bottle in hand at 2.00pm. What a HUGE day of alcohol (5 bottles of wine consumed and I dont drink!!!!!) and conversation
until my camp oven was ready and they left at 6.30pm, what more can I say
except that tomorrow will NOT be the same.
Chicken roast in the camp oven was fantastic, just love cooking in the
oven with the coals. Weather is
magnificent and even managed to get a bit of color sitting around.
